Work-around of click-through bug in WebKitThis plugin used to be good and helpful a couple of years ago (although even then it was a major pita with its strange update method), but since then it got worse with every single update, and with every update of Safari as well. Undo support in HTML TextArea and TextField Original URLs in Finder comments of downloaded files, exported PDFs and saved pages Focus the last selected tab when closing the current one ![]() Safari was crashing constantly. I like the idea of what it does, but it simply didn't work. Worst ten dollars I've ever spent. When I found it I was sure I would like it, so I paid up after the first day or so. Additional features for Safari? Get Glims (it's free and actively being developped, not like Saft) and extensions.SO: No need for Saft anymore, no need for paying the incredible rip-off.Like others' advice, mine is don't even try the demo of this thing, let alone pay for it like I did. Mac gb emulatorAfter about 2 hours of trying everything I could by some stroke of luck it "seems" to have left. I researched how to uninstall on the internet and found many different methods, some of which only seem to work for some people. Then, I was very pleased to discover it takes a rocket scientist to first discover how to uninstall and then another one to actually do the job. It was causing me way more hassles than benefits. After fighting with it for a couple of weeks, trying to install in each of its modalities, I wanted to get rid of it for good reason. Paintnet for mac 2017This prick of a programmer gives us no way to fully uninstall Saft. Still every time I open Safari I get that damn box and my home page does not load. When Safai 4.0.4 came out I thought it would solve the problem based on what I read in the Saft help. As I wrote earlier once you delete it, it will bring up a dialog box asking you to put Saft back in the app, folder and it also then stops your home page from loading even after you click the OK button. It is a damn haxie that attaches a piece of itself to a part of Safari. If you do, you will not be able to fully delete it. End of Line.I have used and recommended Saft for years. I urge people to boycott Saft and use the free utility Glims that basically does that the same as Saft. I curse this coward for not supplying a way to get rid of this trash. Well, sadly I am unemployed and not well and need the money for more important things. The only reason I can get from all this is that the programmer is using the dialog box to annoy the user to the point that they pay for the crap he is shoving up our butts. What kind of person is this that makes a utility with no off key. But there the ad sits in the middle of a web page, displayed as normal. You'll get a Safari dialog which describes how the image could not be loaded because Saft blocked the URL based on a given pattern. Why am I so disappointed?Saft ad blocking no longer works properly.Oh, it works if you try to load a single image directly. I also had many years of carefully selected ad blocking patterns built up. I am tired of seeing the same damned "I got ripped in 4 weeks" and countless Internet dating ads. This was a mistake. With Glims now available for free, the only reason I wanted to get Saft back on my system was ad blocking. Good luck navigating his web site if you wanted to. In other words, the message is now "go away." Message received.I would no longer recommend paying for Saft. (The other methods cripple Safari, and are not an option.)Why not just report this to the developer? Because I have reported issues and asked questions in the past and I've learned that you may, or may not, get a reply weeks later, and it will rarely be more than one sentence which may, or may not, be relevant to the topic. For the record, this is with the SIMBL plug-in install, running Safari in 64 bit mode. As a Saft user for years, I know how it's supposed to work and it does not. So I went into my archive folder found my original copy of Saft and booted the app. What I did not understand was why am I getting such a box if i deleted it. The next time I launched Safari, I got a dialog box saying Saft is missing and ask me to reinstall the app. So I took the app and trashed it and allowed clean app to locate any related files. When I got to the end of the trial period, I decided not to keep it since I was using Glims and it did basically the same as Saft. First there is no read me file to tell you anything about the program, how to install, and what it installs once it is implemented within Safari. Even in the help notes there are no information on how to uninstall Saft because you can't fully do. So now every time I launch Safari I first have to wait for the box to come up, click on OK and then Safari will load but I have to hit the damn OK button before Safari will load completely. When it launches with Safari for the first time it places hooks into some component of Safari and there is no way to remove these pieces even if you do a reinstall of Safari which I tried. After going through the help, I discovered that Saft is a damn HAXIE. END OF LINE.Saft used to be great, and alsmot in a league of its own.No really exciting new functions have been added, the developer insists on charging us for EVERY upgrade, when all he does to get it to work with new versions of safari is edit a line in a. To me this author is nothing but a schmuck and a shyster and we all should boycot Saft and use Glims. You do not write a utility that cannot be fully uninstalled or have a script to remove all the parts.
